Default Ford sync install??

Hi everyone, brand new here!

Im the proud owner of a 2013 F150 STX 4x2 (i know.. no 4x4.. lol)

The truck is pretty sweet, my only dislike is that it doesnt have the sync package.. Has the phone button etc.. but NOT operational as they told me i dont have it installed... Im wondering (its probably obvious but im an idiot...) Can i get the ford sync installed in my truck?

Skip the sync and install an aftermarket HU with Bluetooth. You will get the same functions with much better sound. You can also add the steering wheel controls. IMO it's not worth adding the sync due to its lack of reliability. I'm sure most will agree.

I agree, go aftermarket. That way you can have a big screen, navigation, Bluetooth, DVD. Spend the most you can afford, nobody gets buyers remorse, when a nice system is working properly.
Not sure how mechanically inclined you are, but Crutchfield can make for a fairly easy installation.

Alpine has a sweet 8" nav HU like 1500! Then Kenwood HU has a 7" the 890 goes for 1000, or advent is also 8", it's around 1000 as well!

.. and then Audison everything downstream of that.. nothing finer

http://www.audison.eu/

Be sure to use a five channel amp with real crossover capability... there are so many amps out there, almost all of them shyte... I had a compete Fosgate processor, 5Ch 1000 watt amp etc. and semi-pro hi end speaker system delivered to the house, the finest components I could source through normal retail channels (the kind of stuff most people buy... cost me around $1800).. and sent them all back. Just overpriced junk with a manufactured Walmart sound.

I dare you to go to a decent installer and listen to his Audison sound wall using the following...

http://www.audison.eu/index.php?page=product&id=20

And These http://www.audison.eu/index.php?page=product&id=39 and these for the front... http://www.audison.eu/index.php?page=product&id=38 and a couple of these for yer ****.. http://www.audison.eu/index.php?page=product&id=47

It is not about mind blowing wattage, it is about quality of sound.

For around $550 you could go with a DVD receiver that runs apps from your phone such as navigation, pandora, etc... Crutchfield includes dash kit free. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X350....html?tp=20217
