I think that's bull sh**!....have you asked to speak with the CEO of that dealership, and what about your Ford Regional Rep.?!...if it's under warranty. ...I mean come on?!.....seriously.....if the problem still exists, they need to find a Ford Engineer to solve the problem!!!

Ford Regional Rep was pretty much a waste of time he talk to the dealer they tell him what hot line said he then call me to tell e what the dealer has all ready told me earlier in the day seems they can't do anything. Last time the rear end was rebuilt they had the Engineer come down. Since May I have asked for one to come back and look at the truck with me not one has shown. Dealer owner is my next stop Monday.

Good luck.....customer service is "PREMIUM"....the dealership owner would be an idiot, if he didn't make it right for you...negative publicity is detrimental to any sane business owner. I as a business in AZ,...I would bend over backwards to make my customers happy....and if I cannot .We come to an agreement and move on.
I've had to go to a few small claims court hearings....it happens,...their are a lot of dishonest business owners as well as individuals (clients, average Joes, buyers,...)
etc....
It's a huge purchase for you ....they need to buy that truck back.....at fair market price....and move on.
I hope it works out for you...stand your ground!

My NEXT truck will NOT be a Ford
Got it back today (8/12/2014) because I need to leave/on road
Well they still say nothing wrong. Sent data to Ford. Kept my truck since last Thursday.
All I know is Toyota AND Nissan are going with diesels next year. 700 pounds lighter because of ALUMINUM is NOT a excuse to pay $47,000.00 for a truck.

When I got the truck back, step on gas, engine revs up move forward (stuck in traffic in Miami), pull foot of gas as engine is rev'ing and BAM, still got the hard hit.
And the dealership said they could not duplicate it, even after replacing the drive shaft.

First Ford truck, last Ford truck.

My next one will be IMPORT. And I am building trades UNION too, but I want something made overseas, so probably a Nissan. Had a Nissan Altima (1994 GLE 1 year used) and I remember it drove great. Rode smooth on 500+ mile trips. I know their trucks ride smooth too.
Just Toyotas are made in Texas, so I worry about **** poor engineering. My 1999 Toyota 4Runner came on a boat, rode great and never had a lick of problems (2WD/V6 bought new).

So Ford has a problem, they don't want to own up to it.
So I will always recommend AGINST Ford, but I will never drive a Government Motors vehicle either, or Chrysler. I got a Ford because they didn't take handout money but their **** poor design of a slip yoke to maintain optimum connection between transmission and rear end, with the support (which was bad from the beginning causing me all of these problems for almost 2 years), is something I would expect from a Redneck Engineer (mechanic who works in a barn out in the middle of BF Egypt).
I never saw a problem with 1 piece drive shaft unless the rear end is like 15 feet away (like in a cargo truck).
I will never buy a Ford again.
If I could afford to go right now, today after getting it back, and go to a dealership and trade it and get even a Honda Fit, I would. Because at least the Honda would NOT feel like getting hit in the rear end on shifts from 1-2.
And buying CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) is a crock of SH**. All that means is they looked at it for 5 minutes at the auction instead of the standard 3 minutes.

Listen....I sympathize with you ....you can get a new vehicle and soon find out that it's turning into a piece of sh**. Case in point....I had a 04 Nissan Titan, ...thought that truck was it!...and for 04 it was miles ahead of anything out there....then the issues started (I know first model year!)...brakes shuddering.....rearend shells ....transmission blows up....sooo, I get a hold of Nissan> GOOD LUCK.....basically. ...I write a letter..SO WHAT?...OK you can stick that 2014 Pro 4× up your .... (slightly pissed at Nissan!)...Again, I guess all manufacturers have their issues?!
BUT....this 2014 XLT 4X4 ECOBOOST is AMAZING!! I certainly understand defecting to the other side... Gotta do what's best for you....just remember first year production models (I know!)....

Holy broken spacebar/grammar

(I didn't read the post, not worth trying to read when its one ****storm of dots and, caps lock, and nonsense)

Still not buying an import, but I'm sure those import trucks, as well as domestic trucks (still technically imported?) ALL have their own issues.

Just because YOU had a bad instance with a ford truck and dealer doesn't mean they're garbage, because they're not.

Plus... I think the Ford trucks are the best looking of any truck. Seeing various trucks going down the road, observe them all, ford pickups just look sharper.

In my 40 years I can't even count the failures I've heard, read and even experienced about EVERY manufacturer.
Phil, this sucks you're going thru it now. Life is enough without adding this hassle.
I bought a new 97 Chevy 2500 that was a complete lemon. I still can't believe how poorly put together that truck was. In 2000, I still only liked the looks of the Chevy. I bought another 2500. You know what..that truck was perfect. Great truck!
In 2005 unfortunately it had 175,000 miles. Trouble free miles, but my truck is my lively hood. So Chevy's got ugly, and Ford had a winner looks wise. So I bought an fx4. Now in retrospect 9 years later, that was a great truck too.. The engine needed a kick in the ***, and a silencer. Only at 145,000 did it need some tranny work, but really that was it. So it was a no brainer to get one, that's 8 yrs better. Right?
Well my now 9 month old 13 has a few minor quirks that I can't believe are happening after a 10 yr run with this platform. I also know every car maker has it's minor flaws too So you deal with it and fix them.
Toyota doesn't build like they used too. Dodge had to change it's name to distant itself from it's past. Chevy well...they've got to step it up a little more, in a hurry. The throttle lag in that new engine is horrendous. I couldn't even tell you the last Nissan I saw. Those trucks are apparently invisible to me.
We've come a long way with technology in just 238 years, but we're still just infants and learning as we go fast forward.
It's aggravating they build a vehicle that doesn't last more than 5 yrs, before something breaks, but they can't... I know you could sell me a phone with a regular battery that will last a week, but they don't... Or even a $7.00 razor that won't go dull in three days. But that's the rotating world we live in.
Alright, I'll stop rambling now.
I hope you're next one is a good one, and all I really wanted to say was, that I've been down this frustrated angry road, and it leaves a bitter taste, but nothing is guaranteed reliable.

Since I have a sarcastic and joking personality, I comment every time I see a Chevy.

I say "so...how was your weekly recall...?"

Usually they laugh, some don't, but its a fun jab to the ribs if you are just trying to have fun.

Just a 2c humor add-on

I'm the same way. It used to be you jab them, they jab back. All in good fun. People seem so defensive lately, you don't want to say anything.
My friend got so tired of defending his ecoboost, from others who, I think were just jealous his 6 cylinder would toast they're V8. That he went and bought a 5.0. No more jokes!
Not Ford guys mind you but the others saying "good luck selling a twin turbo 6, with a 150,000 miles", and mpg jokes.
Another quick story. A guy we work for bought a 15 GMC Denali. He brags about, having hill assist, trailer sway control, and that brilliant step bumper that'll tear a groin muscle, and a few other things, that we've had for years already!
I want to laugh at him and show him the facts. Unfortunately he can't take a joke at all, and I'd probably lose his business. So I drive off, wondering what's bigger his ego...or his list of recalls?
Life is good in the best looking truck on the road.
