I've been on both platforms and will stay with apple all day long, the build quality is night and day better and for me the OS is better suited.
I enjoyed vanilla android of the OG but then the corporate tit was sucked upon and bloatware started to bog crap down and the random reboots were horrendous.
I switched and haven't looked back, I do want a slightly bigger screen though but don't want to be holding a tablet to my face to talk either.
I think at this point, anything will be better than Sync-my touch.

That said, a question you can answer is this: for which platform do people line up to install in the dash: iPad's or 'Roids?

Blackberry
From the article;
BlackBerry’s QNX Software Systems can be found in cars made made by Volkswagen AG’s Audi unit and BMW, according to its website. QNX and Microsoft are the main suppliers of automotive operating system software, according to researcher IHS iSuppli.
BlackBerry, at the time named Research in Motion Ltd. (BB), bought QNX Software Systems for $200 million in 2010. In addition to its presence in cars, QNX technology is used to manage nuclear-power plants and by the U.S. military for unmanned aerial drones. Its customers include Cisco Systems Inc., General Electric Co. and Caterpillar Inc.
Sounds like a good move to me, Microsoft has become the IBM of software (large and unresponsive to the market). Which is how (ironically) how MS got started when it took on IBM years ago.

My wife had a VW for a while. I'm not trying to put down the VW at all but I would have expected a higher end comparison than this:
Its "fine" but in the two-horse race between Apple & Google, wouldn't EITHER of the front runners have been better than anything associated with BlackBerry?

QNX Is the most stable and blackberry already spent years learning how to integrate so with it. Plus the Ford, QNX, and blackberry campus are all next to each other. Good move on ford's part. Apple and Google don't have the experience in the automotive industry. You can't have glitches in that field which is why the QNX kernel is used for nuclear power plants it control system is very stabke
