Ford says Microsoft is out, blackberry is in
Ford is dumping Microsoft as the developer of software for its touch system.
myTouch has been an on-going industry embarrassment that has led to Ford's aggregate lower scores in overall reliability and the all important customer satisfaction.
Story breaking on Bloomberg.

(j/K) - it's a huge site, these things are unavoidable, sir - no worries.
Personally I find it VERY disturbing that vehicle buyers are placing in-vehicle systems at a higher priority than vehicle capability, NVH, materials, component quality, driveability, mileage and design, etc.
Make you wonder just which demographic is driving this trend.

I do not shop vehicles like I do heavy equipment. I shop vehicles like I shop personal housing: by features and ease of use. In this case, I want to truck to be a one level living walkout mid-century-mod, atomic-ranch rambler, with extra swank, man!

Best news I've heard all year. Microsoft has been a blemish on an otherwise great lineup of vehicles!

Yeah, that's it, Apple. Then we can all pay an extra $2000 for My iFord. It will only sync with iTunes. I agree that an Android based solution or other Linux flavor would be better.
