They're assuming a complete idiot could do the install I suppose. I watched their video on install and it looks like it'll take me about 15 mins or so only because my old joints don't move as fluidly as they did when I was in my 20's lol

Haha i feel you. I'll wait for your review before i pull the trigger. I like being able to use factory fob not having something else on my key chain.

The fob is irrelevant as far as this subject is concerned. This is all about cell phone interactivity, my truck didn't come with remote start activated so I had to buy keys with the 4th fob button built into it.

With this kit even my old 3 button fobs will remote start the truck now, it's a moot point to me because I rarely use that due to RFI from other peoples electronics in vehicles parked nearby that make it useless for the most part.

I have the viper system with SmartStart. It's awesome. Can lock, unlock, start the truck, track location - all on my phone. Also has 2 fobs. Can control things from across the country (but why would I ever do that...). Requires a subscription, but worth it on those cold mornings or landing at the airport in winter.
