Default Updated: Ford Remote Access

I have been looking for information on this and I know there is another thread, but it doesn't seem like there is any concrete information out there. I just called 1-800-FORDKEY and I said these exact words... "I am looking for some information on a part that no one see to know anything about". Immediately the guy on the phone said, you want Ford Remote Access. He said it is available and gave me a part number. I can't find anything on their site, but I will be calling the dealer later. Let me know if any of you have luck.

Part Number: DL3019G364-A

Update!

My Ford Remote Access is getting installed Friday next week (05/03).

Here is what I know...

1 - $495 installed, forgot to ask about the yearly fee ($50 i think)
2 - Ford dealer asked for 4 hours to do the install
3 - Must schedule a week in advance as they bring someone in, likely from a local car audio place as I believe it is the same thing or similar to Car Link
4 - They need all key fobs to reprogram

I know a lot of people are saying the $495 (I think the talk was much closer to $600) is too much but I will use this a lot. When it gets hot here it is really hot and when it gets cold it is really cold. I park too far away from my work place (away from most people like a good Platinum owner should do) for the remote start to work from inside the building. I also travel often so remote starting when I get off the plane will be nice.

I believe you can find some info here...

But to answer you question, this is a very new product and not sure if it's even made it to the dealerships yet...

I've seen all the posts here. What I am wondering is if anyone has had any success getting a dealership to acknowledge it exists and get it ordered.

I am just happy I finally got someone to move on this. I really think Ford has done a bad job communicating to both us and their dealers. Customers shouldn't know before the dealers.

Anyways, like I said... They must have been getting calls as I didn't even mention what I was looking for, only that no one knows anything before they said "ah, Ford Remote Access"...

Yeah, its pretty aggrivating having to explain what the hell a product is you want, to the Co. Selling it!!!
