Is ford really that cheap?

Should I call the whambulance and order you some French cries? You don't own a freaking funnel? Every man worth his manhood should own at least one funnel. Dang some people are whiney.

Who knows maybe you are your typical jiffy lube customer who doesn't know how to open the hood.
Besides, you can hardly even use a regular funnel you have to have an offset one. (yep I have one of those to.)

Lmfao. Boy, you got a lot to learn. Lest you forget, your truck came equipped with a funnel under the back seat. It'll get you by in a pinch. So quit your whining. Ford provided you with a funnel for those side of the road emergencys.

Add the $10 filler neck that old trucks used to have and I don't need the fuel siphon funnel. I know the "new" American way is to settle for less and pay more, but I'm gonna bitch about it if want.

This is what cost engineers do. Think how many trucks made/sold each year. How many people (outside of people here on the forum) actually open the hood on their trucks? The money is better spent on other items...

That filler neck I had was from the local ford Tech, he brought it to me when I bought oil today. He told me I would want it and could borrow it to see if I would want to order one for myself. Sure enough I ordered one when I took it back.
He also laughed at me when I told him my truck would lunge back and forth at a real low speed.... Guess it is a problem they haven't figured out yet.

Actually, little things like this that add up pretty fast when you sell a half million of these trucks a year. Even if it cost Ford just $5 a piece to make, that would be $2.5 million a year.
I read an article back in the nineties that Ford stopped painting the inside of the ashtrays in the Explorer because it saved them $1 million dollars a year. Pretty savvy if you ask me.

I'd venture to say that little extension may add maybe 20-30 cents to each vehicle. Either way, you can add oil without the extension if you're somewhat careful. I've had a quart bottle funnel for years; holds the quart of oil in place and lets all of it drain out.
