I just leased my second fx4, the 1st one had the add on remote start from Ford. It worked flawlessly and had superior range, my new truck has the factory remote start and it doesn't even work half the time.. Just 3 days old and I guess I'm going in for service..

Try it parked on a flat surface. I noticed this sporadically too but always in my driveway. When I park level it never happens. Could be fuel pump related?

My issue is not fuel related, definitely related to the fobs. Like the system is not "waking up" when you press a button on the fob.. I work at a Chevy dealer and we have had similar probs.. Yes I fix Chevy's and drive a Ford.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but, is there a way to move the antenna or add another one to improve the range? The Ford remote start in my wife's 05 explorer has an antenna on the windshield. It would be nice if that were an option because I hate the limited range of mine as well.

I've had issues with the truck not responding to the buttons being pressed on the key. I have to press the button multiple times before it'll do anything.

my issue is intermittent and really dont have time to drop it off at the dealer for them to tell me they couldnt reproduce the issue. id say 1 out of every 10 times i remote start, it fails. I can live with it I suppose.
