No speculation at all, it is pretty straight forward money and physics.

The facts are that oversize rims and tires cost some serious money to replace the stock units and it takes more power (gasoline) to spin those down the road.
But it looks so damn cool!

Those people just aren't very bright. The rest of us know that you have to pay to play.

Make a thread complaining about people complaining about MPGs after getting tires....That's some logic right there.
I'll tell you what I tell other people that complain about MPGs...go buy a Prius if you're that worried about it.
And please, telling people how to spend their money really isn't going to go over well here so I'd suggest you refrain in the future. I'm sure the guys and gals at the Prius forums would appreciate your logic tho. Maybe you'd be better off there.

If I was that worried about the cost difference, I'll work a weekend of overtime a year to cover the costs of running my oversized tires. If I'm really worried about mileage guess ill ride the street bike around.

Who wants to take bets that this thread has at least 15 pages before the end of today?

Hey I bitch about my mileage every day, but in truth wouldn't give it up for anything. My trucks badass and I get a lot of looks, plus it can take me a lot of places you couldn't go because of the key word "ground clearance" I will always bitch about mileage and try to find ways to advance it, but when I grow old and realize I'm to fat or just don't see the purpose anymore I will simmer down. Just like life, you only live once so don't waste your time regretting anything or holding back because of what someone else thought
