Folks should think about the money lost by running oversized tires
When you do the math on losing 3MPG over the life of a set of oversize tires, on top of the extra cost of those tires and rims, you are blowing a big chunk of change for little return. One reason we see threads by folks trying to increase their mpg's.
I work as a hunting and fishing guide and I see guys all the time running around with jacked up trucks and oversized tires and I end up driving to the same off road locations as them for a lot less money by running stock size tires and rims. I have installed a Rancho hidden winch kit as off road insurance, but have never had to use it to pull myself out.
But hey if you have the money to blow, go for it. Just do not complain about the mpg or think there is a magic tune that will return them.

Evil. Big. Oil.
K...by that logic I should have bought a Subaru.
People do what they want with their trucks. The guys whining about mileage (whether you agree or not) are whining about the advertised verses actual mileage that they are seeing. That's a valid topic.
The guys with lifts and 37s don't give a ****.

So the guys complaining about the mileage lost by running 35's are trying not to give ****, but really do?

I see this thread getting closed pretty quick. But if I want to put bigger tires on my truck what does it really matter? The same thing could be said of buying a platinum over a xlt. Why spend thousands of more dollars for that? The answer because some people can afford to and want to. So quit being a troll and let people do with there money what they damn well please.
