Default Fog Lights come on when door opened???

So I just noticed today that my Fog Lights come on if the truck is running and I open the door. And sometimes the running lights did to today as well at the same time. I haven't done anything with Forscan except disable my DRLs. This seems weird. Can someone else verify this for me on their truck? I did upgrade to the HID headlight bulbs a few days ago. Hmm.

Current switch position is "headlight switch pulled out for fogs on and selected to auto". No lights are on normally until it gets dark enough with the auto feature.

Does it do it when the switched is not pulled for fogs but set for auto?

That does seem odd, but would make sense. I wonder if the DRL disable somehow directed the current to the fogs from the heads......

My truck has done the same from day 1...switch set to auto and the **** pulled out for fogs. Did it with stock halogen bulbs and does it with my Rigid SAEs too.

Mine doesn't. Of course, I've enabled Dark Mode via forscan.

If that is normal then I'm assuming Ford uses the fogs as front puddle lamps (like the ones in then mirrors) when the doors are opened. Pretty smart I think.
