Question fog light install problem

Morning, I bought a pair of H10/9145 3600K bulbs for my fog lights. I'm unable to install them because of where the green circle is, is just so shorter than the stock pair that I am unable to lock these into place. Has anyone had this problem or know of a way to fix my problem short of buying another pair or am I sol?

So are you saying that you can fit them in, turn them clockwise as far as they'll go, but they won't lock into place? But they are held in place front to back by the tabs?

I had the same problem and couldnt figure why I couldnt lock them in place. (they looked identical) sounds funny, but all you have to do is replace the red rubber gasket with the gasket on the original fog lights. Just try it, they will lock in place. good luck

If it is typical of most sockets there are three very small phillips screws on the back of the socket housing. Loosen them a turn or so and the bulb will lock into the socket. You can snug them back up once they are in. This will allow you to use the rubber O ring that came on your bulbs. It is likely bigger and better to keep out moisture.
