Default Fog Light Advice

Is anyone running Baja Designs Squadrons in the fog light pocket wired to the OE switch? I've found a kit that allows you to do this but can only find a few photos online and no real reviews. I'll be picking up a 2012 FX4 this weekend and upgrading the lights is the first thing on the list (already have HIDs on order). https://www.stage3motorsports.com/BA...Mount-Kit.html

I have the Baja Designs sae fog lights, I'd recommend passing on them. They had issues with being legal at first and sent out replacement lens than "fixed" the issues but cut down the width of the beam. Search Sae J583 and look for the Tacoma World thread on many different light comparisons. The guy has looked st pretty much every Sae legal fog light. Personally I'd say go for the Rigid Industries sae dually cubes with there mounts and order a adapter from amazon to plug them in. Another company, Diode Dynamics, have come out with a set of sae fogs however they do not have a mount for our trucks just yet. You could also go with the Morimoto XB fog lights, I was going to go that route but I wanted a yellow/amber light.

Appreciate the feedback, that thread is packed with info. I also want ambers in the fog pocket hence why BD was my first choice.

do you have any photos of your setup?

I have a few on that forum. In the later posts with a similar username. I had the Bajas since launch. They threw light up way to high, after the updated lens they dont throw up as much. I have the Ruby Red F150, posted a few pictures. I dont have any on this phone since the last one decided to shatter itself lol. The only reason I went with the Baja Designs was the bracket/mount made it look cleaner. The Rigid industries bracket/mount has the light hanging. Looked off to me but now I wished I would have gotten them first, they make a yellow sae fog you just have to search for it on there site, they call it selective yellow.

For six years, I've been running 55W amber 3000K HID conversion kit bulbs in my fogs. Not street legal but only use them out in the country when it's snowing hard.

Our kit for the SS3 to fit in the F150 fog area is coming very soon! Just something to keep in mind!

I have the Morimoto XBLED fog lights and they are certainly better than stock, but don't expect it to look like daytime while they are on, especially if you have a good set of HID's. They do help light up the sides of the road better.

I wouldnt recommend the Squadrons as a Fog. Even with the driving pattern lens they produce tons of glare.

I would recomment the Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE/DOT Fogs. There Pro series absolutely blows every other LED Fog manufacturer out the water. You can get them in white or yellow!

Are these lights going to be an amber led with a clear lense or a white led with an amber lense?
