I have a super 44 on my truck and I like it! just a muffler replacement and tip addition, I think thats key... duals will give you more noise/drone. Have had reso on and off, its on now. with the reso on I have NO drone with it off there is drone, enough that I didn't like it.

I have the original 40 Series on mine with turndowns and the resonator removed. I love the sound! If you get on it in manual mode it screams like a NASCAR racecar. There is a little drone but I like the sound it is calming to me. However, with mud tires and the radio on you can not hear it.

I would love to hear a FM Super 44 with the stock resonator still in place. Seems most video clips have the resonator removed, and I'm not going back down that road again.
