Default Flowmaster muffler suggestions

Basically, i am looking to get a flowmaster muffler, cut out the stock one, and weld one in.... I dont want to be crazy loud, but would like a nice throaty sound, cuz the stock exhaust is QUIET...

I used to work at meineke, and put in tons of mufflers, but that was a few yrs ago, never on a newer f-150...

is the 40 series really loud if i just slap one in?

4.6l 3v....btw

I think if I get one its gonna be a 50 series. I dont know if I should just get a new kit or have them weld one on. I dont want that cheap aluminzed metal and I think stock is stainless.

Have a 40 series Flowmaster, its not that loud. Wish it was louder but then again im used to my mustang with longtubes xpipe and no cats lol. The 40 series is a good start though if u want something that sounds good but is not crazy loud.

not a Flowmaster fan here, i always have experienced drone inside with any Flowmaster muffler. i have a Magnaflow muffler on mine and love it. sounds great when you want it to, quiet when you don't.

I put a set of Flowmasters on an 88 Mustang GT. Gawd awful drone at hwy speeds. Worst mod I had ever done. Liked the exhaust tone while accelerating, but 2200-2500 RPMS...
