Default Flow through console shifter install tips

Hi,
I'm going to install a raptor console in my XLT and Im going to convert it from a column shifter to a console shifter.
I have a general idea, Im going to list out the process I have planned and would like some feedback and answers to some questions.
Here is the console and shifter that Ive purchased.

How I understand this install is.
1.Remove jumpseat.
2. remove shifter from steering column (no idea where to start)
3. Replace radio panels, the right will need to have the airbag panel taken off to fit, the left will fit after the column shifter is removed.
4.Attach shifter cable to floor shifter. Splice correct wires from shifter to steering column. Attach shifter cable to transmission linkage (also no idea about this one.)
5.Bolt console in and attach plastic panels to side.

So, I'm open to advice and pictures. Ive looked all over the forum and I havent seen anyone do a full shifter conversion on 09-up models.

I did the console and decided not to do the shifter since I wanted to install the head unit in the console, but I have supplied the info for doing both in two threads.

Good luck. I'm interested to see how you make out. I would love to get rid of the column shift and have the console shifter, but don't think I have the 'nads to try the conversion myself.

and here is a walkthrough on a 2003 model which shed some light on where to put the transmission cable.

By the looks of your "steps" I would probably bring it to a professional.

I've installed literally everything on my truck with the exception of the lift.

I really don't feel like dishing out 500 bucks for something I know I'm capable of doing.

btw, I've read through some of your comments, do you really drive a prius?

I don't think you will have any problems doing it.. I am old school so once I realized Ford doesn't do the one harness fits all deal I knew it was just more work,,, of course that is because I wanted to go the extra mile or two instead of just bolting in a console. I think you are the same way and won't have any problems doing this mod!
