Default Flareside tail light question

I have read on here that the 09 flareside used the same bed as the 04-08. If this is true, does that mean that I could put tail lights from previous models on my flareside 09?

I'm looking for some clear euro style tail lights.

yep its the same bed. i had a 06 flareside and they are exactly the same. which is why i didnt buy a flareside this time. i didnt like the way they looked with the new front end. too boxy up front and too curvy out back. but thats my opinion. everyone likes different things.

Hey tcarro2001, had any luck finding tail lights for your flairside? I gotta 09 also and would love to know for certain if they are 100% the same as 04-08.
Thanks,
Dave

It's the same. That's why it is on 09s only. It's leftover from 08. With that being said, it makes the flareside with these bodystyles rare. That why I love my truck!

Dude - That's my ride! Same black on gray FX4 and everything! I went out of my way for a flairside cause I REALLY liked the look. I thought that the Stylesides looked a little too common. I hadda 01 SCrew and liked the rounded corners like on the Flairs back then.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen any of these beds on the new ones running around town. I love mine! It came with 18's and I put aftermarket 20's on after I leveled the front end. It sits really sweet now.

I'm a Black and Gold kind'a guy though. I did go to high school with Jeff Hostetler so I was a part-time Raider fan there for awhile. I also had the opportunity to stand at a urinal next to Al Davis at the next to last game in Three Rivers Stadium - I was gonna whiz on his shoes except he had a really big guy with no neck escorting him to the head.

Thanks for the info.

There is a recent thread for 2tone trucks that have a lot of flares on it. We should start an official thread for flaresides... Or have we just done so?

One of the best things about a flareside is the view in the side mirrors. Classic.
