The alarm tech had his wisdom teeth pulled, they cant install it till Friday. So until then my truck is hiding out and getting the damage fixed in the mean time. Im going with the Viper 5901 though with a few 'extra' things

 

why did you select the viper 5901? what is its cost installed? have you checked the viper 5902?

 

I have the Viper 5701 w/Smart Start. Not only do I have the 2-way remote, but the iPhone is always there. Sets off push notifications on the phone, so I know any time something happens to my truck.

I have a bunch of people think that I am over-protecting the truck, but I have had a break-in before. I know it won't stop them, but something is better than nothing. Also work for an alarm company, so I guess it's second nature to have everything secured.

 

i had the viper (not sure the model #) on my truck i traded in ('05 f150). i loved the long range antenna. which one do you suggest for me? i have the 2010 scab now. i like the way the lights operate with the opening of the doors and such with all the dimming. i want the remote start/alarm. what is the ballpark price to have this installed? thanks.

 

$499.00. The only thing I don't like is when I unlock the doors, the headlights don't come on like the factory remote. Also trying to figure out what to do with the trunk release output.

 

I was told the 5901 and 5902 are exactly the same except the 5902 is color and I dont need color. I guess I COULD of got the 5701 since im gonna eventually upgrade to the SmartStart.

 

Damn I love that feature i like my lights coming on when I unlock it, especially with my Halos
