I did earlier today, are they the cheapest?
It was like $110.xx for the handle (primered) and $55 I believe for the new lock or whatever. Anyone else that has been through this does that sound about right or what all did u need and how much did u pay?

They generally do. I used to use www.tousleyfordparts.com and you can check with as they charge the same 10% over cost. That sounds about right with the keypad. I believe I saw prices without the pad much cheaper though.

Man... I feel your pain. Texas is getting freaking ridiculous. My company does a lot of work in TX so I am there quite often... No joke the last three times I have been there my F250 has gotten broken into. Broke out back door window in Tyler, TX, then broke out the back glass in Fort Worth, TX, And last they punched my lock out on the drivers side in Lufkin, TX. I have given up at this point. And to top that, one of my co-workers pulled our brand new Honda Side by Side to TX 2 weeks ago and they stole the da*m thing trailer and all from a Hampton Inn parking lot in Fort Worth, TX. I would def do an insurance clam and and get it done right at the dealer.

My friend's F250 passenger door got broken into in the parking lot of academy with a screwdriver and messed it all up in broad daylight (Houston TX off 59). They took a pellet gun and a backpack but left the iPod sitting on the passenger seat. I try not to keep too many valuables in my truck because of stuff like that.

Not trying to rub salt in the wound here, but why on earth would you leave ANYTHING valuable in sight for them to think about breaking into is beyond me.

Im dropping it off today for an alarm system so once I get it back (probably a few days) Ill have to start looking around at body shops and such, just thought Id see what I should do in the mean time. My friend had a King Ranch F150 and warned me about this crap. He sold his truck just because of this, his was broken into 3 times!!!
My brother got his radio stolen off his truck in Houston off of I-10 and 610 area. Was wondering what kind of alarm system did you get for your truck?

This is the kind of thread that makes me all warm and fuzzy about moving to Houston in two months. Oh well I live in the worse city in Texas, number two in the country for auto theft right now. So from high theft to high burglary, hell it's a step up. LOL
