Default Finally pulled the trigger and found my F150

thank you all for your help and advice to all my questions I had etc. After looking a lot of F150's and countless hours of research, I found one. Funny thing, its probably my least favorite color but somehow, I like it. Its still at the dealership for an engine noise they will fix before I take possession (they said its the power steering pump) and a rattle in the dash that I told them has to be fixed to seal the deal but its pretty much a done deal.

has 69k miles and the inside is like brand new. I was shocked at how clean and new it looks inside. no signs of wear anywhere. I felt like I was test driving a brand new truck. outside was about 90 new looking as well. here is a pix of her.

MODS, I posted this in the wrong year section. Can you please move for me to the correct forum. thanks and sorry bout that.

I normally like whites, silvers, plain colors but ending up with Red, go figure.

What engine and what kind of noise. Just asking. I'd be real careful before you signed off on everything, be real interesting what they did to fix the engine "noise". I would purchase an extended warranty also if your able to based on the engine noise if your truly dead set on this truck. Not trying to rain on your parade, but i'd bet the dealership tries to repair the noise as quickly and cheaply as possible...and a few thousand miles later the noise returns and your stuck with it.

I've always said that I dislike red vehicles, but for some reason I really like the red F150s. Nice find!

5.4 3v. I listened to a lot of vids on the cam phaser noise etc, this was nothing like that. it sounded like sand in ball bearings, a steady scratching sound. to me it sounded like a bad tensioner pulley etc but will see what happens when they change the steering pump.
For me, extended warranties do not pay off because I do not drive a lot. I drive about 2-3k miles per year. the extended warranties would run out on me on duration but would probably have very little miles on the truck during that time so I would be paying for the warranty when the truck is primarily not being driven.
If I drove the normal 12 or 15k miles per year I would get my moneys worth.
appreciate the heads up..

their vehicles do come with a 3 month/3k warranty though. It takes me a whole year to get close to driving 3k which is the crappy part. I would drive it as much as possible during warranty period but hard for me to rack up the mileage when my job is 3 miles away.

That red looks sharp. Not sure if its just me being bias towards fords, but I really like all the color offerings on these trucks after seeing them in person. I bought my 2wd xlt brand new, and aside from the slip yoke needing to be regreased for the first time, im almost to 80k miles with just basic maintenance. Got the 100k mile warranty for peace of mind tho.

totally agree, I never seen an F150 in a bad color. I guess the nice lines can make even an average color looks nice. I almost did not go to see this one when I saw the color was red but when I saw it in person, it looked very nice. I do like metallic paints but a lot of these colors without the metallic have that nice deep wet look when polished up but I can achieve that with my mustang that has metalic paint as well.
