I know these are not new to the F-150 world. I happened to check good old E-Bay and found it for a very reasonable $42 with free shipping!
I was a little apprehensive on the quality at this price, but am very impressed.
It fit very well and the coatings and plating are very high quality. Of course the acid test is durability.
If it survives the Michigan winter that would be way awesome. I now I should wait till spring to install it, but I got tired of that god awful huge hole with the mystery mounting points showing.

Looks pretty good. I'm in Texas so mine is filled with my license plate . Sad day. Considered moving the plate to the side and installing some more fog lights down there.

Especially being billet aluminum . The surface is polished chrome plate, and the rest is powder coated black. It uses the factory areas where your plate frame mounts. I had it on, in about 15 minutes.
Mounting fogs down there is a great idea. Maybe you can utilize the useless mystery mounting holes.

looks nice. Mine was filled by a license plate before I removed the whole bumper and replaced it with this.

Sultan, I have to ask this question. It seems every truck in Texas has a cow catcher on it. Is it because of all the deer, just popular there, a different purpose? I think they look good, not saying they don't, just curious why they are so popular in Texas..

Did they have any solid black ones? I've got a completely black billet in mine

Well Im from North Dakota and there is a lot of deer here too. Also lots of ranchers around here put on bumper replacement ones like the ranch hand or similar ones to that because they go out and herd the cows with their trucks sometimes and sometimes you have to bump into the stupid bastards to make them move.

Good deal, thanks for the explanation! I stupidly assumed you were from Texas because of it, that's how often I see it in TX. Sorry about that! Thanks again, very nice looking truck by the way..

All I saw on their add was the chrome versions. I had seen black ones on other vehicles. I figured if I did not like the chrome look, I would just sand blast it and shoot it with some semi flat black. But alas, I do like the chrome .
