Default Fat Bob's AAL

Anyone recently get a Fat Bob's AAL? The website has 2 part numbers listed: AAL22 and BDFORD1418. Both are listed at $115.95 and look identical, other than the BDFORD1418 has the option for U-Bolts. I'm guessing I need to get the BDFORD1418 with 4WD U-bolts?

Can anyone comment on the install? Seems like a pretty simple weekend job. Do they provide instructions?

The ProComp AAL is most popular around here. I have it. Install can be done in a few hours. Hardest part is getting the existing bolts off as they may be seized/rusted on.

You can also find an install video with it.

My rear settled .5'' a few months after install. Happy with the slightly raked look.

I've researched both and decided on fat Bob's. I'll watch the video as i would think installation is similar for both. I just want to make sure it comes with all the hardware I need and If I need the u bolt kit.

If all you want is to get the rear higher, put air shocks on, easier and cheaper. It's what I did to get the rake back after I put a 4" lift kit on as well as adjust for loads.

I don't know what there is to "research" on a website's own hardware versus brand name, but you're better off asking them about the hardware to be sure.

Otherwise, install would be identical.

Sorry, not hardware, just the AAL in general. That video was helpful so hopefully someone can chime in about the the u bolt kit.
