Got pulled outside ATL a few years back in my old truck for having my front windows too dark. After about 2 hours of bs...drug dogs and backup searching my vehicle for god knows what????...he let's me go with a warning cause my tint was legal by south carolina standards. He knew that from square one and still proceeded as if I were a fugitive or suspicious person. WTF??

I did 35% on the front of my screw. I think It looks good, just a tad lighter then the back but it's legal ;-)

In Wisconsin there is no limit on darkness if the window is "privacy glass." Essentially, the only way to get privacy glass is to have your windows deep dipped. It is similar to electroplating. So if you want to spend $300 per window to have your windows dipped you can do that. However, dipped windows, including factory tint, don't provide any UV protection whereas film tinted windows do.

My factory tint % in the back was 20%.

I laid 15% over the factory 20% then 5% up front.

My truck is 10 years old. Bought as a work truck and that’s what it’s been. My glass looks literally good as new. Does your neighbor own a ram and is jealous so he throws a handful of stones at your windows every night? Seems odd that several sets of windows would go bad on you. Sorry to hear that.

BowtiesSuk - My truck is 10 years old ...
If you have a gen'12 (2009-2014) truck and are going to post about it in an 8-year old thread, at the very least .....

Put your vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature -OR- provide it in your posting(s).
