Ordering my new fx4 tomorrow and i went ahead an included the factory ford spray in bed liner. I have always used line-x on my past few trucks. Should i stick with line-x or have yall been having good luck out of the factory spray ins???

I had the factory spray-in on my 2011 F-250. Great stuff, held up to me scraping out stone and dirt with my front end loader. Never damaged it. Not as "sticky" or rubbery as Line-X.

I would have gotten it again on my F-150 but I got it off the lot.

I got the factory spray liner on my 2013. its good, they don't go down or up over the edges to far, especially near tailgate but it looked like a good job, I think linex would be thicker and would cover more of the areas but this factory spray is acceptable,, I guess it just depends how much there charging you and how much junk and how often you gonna use and abuse the bed..

Linex is the way to go the factory spray in is to thin.

Give the guy doing the work a $20 bill up front and it will be nice and thick!

The Linex in my 2000 looked like new when I sold it 2 months ago 13+ years latter and the Linex in my 2013 is nice and thick!

not sure how thick measurement wise a LineX spray is, but the factory spray in mine is pretty thick, and looks good to me in my 2013.
I don't put it through the paces like some would, but it's held up to what I've asked of it so far.

As for the prices, not sure how to compare considering some see factory as a lower quality product. Factory for me, was on par with local shops... but if LineX is "that" much better, for the same price may have been a better choice.

It all depends on the person putting it on....its not like it comes in a standard thickness. I am sure there is a pretty decent variation of thickness in the O.E.M spray in bedliners too.

I have both types on both of my trucks

My 12 XLT has a dealer added Line-X. It has a rubbery, grip like finish that has held up pretty well, but it has faded slightly over the year I've owned it. It sits outside in the driveway.

My 13 STX has the factory liner. It has a sandpaper like finish and texture. I can't speak on it's durability just yet as the truck is only 2 weeks old. It sits outside as well.

spot on. My factory was that sand paper feel, linex rubber feel, I bet the rubber has some absorbing properties where the factory lined doesn't. Either way the truck bed is lined and better than a bed liner.

I don't think you are going to get much variation from the factory spray since I would think it is applied just like the paint, with computerized robots.
