Default Factory Paint Question

I just sold a 2011 Chev Camaro SSII. Beautiful car but I sure was not impressed with the quality of the paint. Im now focused on the F150 and the paint looks fine but just wondering if paint has been an issue for any of you and if so what was the problem? Thanks in advance.

Good on my end I have a 2012 Platinum Tr-coat Platinum white. I have seen a few "orange peel" on the blacks, but all and all pretty good quality paint.

Oh geez. Just type the words "paint issues" in the search bar. And watch the numerous threads drop down like the wizards beard. Everything from missing paint on the bottoms of the doors, to nibs in the roof, to excessive orange peel.

All manufacturers have paint issues

Thanks pal. Your really my kind of guy. So friendly and helpful to us newer members. Makes me want to just focus all day on your threads cuz your so freaking smart. Wow I can't believe the luck of gaining your wisdom. Must be my lucky day.

BTW you shoud try first what you suggest. I did just that prior to posting and found nothing thus the reason for my question.

Anybody know if this site has an ignore feature?

Wow. I wasn't trying to be a dick. If that's how you took it, sorry. If you're that sensitive, you're in for it on this site.

I spent about 2 hours this weekend with my new DA Buffer and a bottle of "Chemical Guys" polish. Followed that up with a coat of Collonite 845 wax. My white truck looks better than it did the day I drove it off the lot (2.5 years ago). I have had no issues with paint quality.

Wish there was bud, you'd be the first on my list with another comment or so like that. Lots of paint issues, just like most other companies.

And he is a painter as am I. We know what we are taking about. I don't do it for a living just as a hobby, but I went to school for it. My truck has orange peel all over it and you can see primer in the bottom of the doors.
