Question Extra headrests????

I'm about to trade in my 2010 F150 for a 2020 model! Bittersweet, but I'll have fun with the new truck. My question is that when I bought the old truck I bought 2 headrest DVD players for the back seat. My kids were little. They still work, so-so. I'm trying to decide if I should give them back with the truck and sell the original headrests that were never ever used so are pristine? Surely nobody is still interested in such a thing in their vehicle?

Thoughts?

I tried to sell a pair of stock ones for the same reason. They sat for a month with zero interest. I tossed them out.

You can gauge the interest for anything by looking at Ebay SOLD items, as well as what's listed on Craigslist.

I had to laugh at the response from @dont slow down. He waited an entire month, seems like an eternity...

I like people like him that are made of money. My FIL collected everything, you might call him a hoarder. When he moved to assisted living, we had to empty his small house. We are in year 6 or so of selling his stuff. So far, we've sold over $18,000 on Craigslist. Between Craigslist, garage sales (only 1 summer), and the scrap yard, we bought a brand new 16 foot boat with a 70hp engine.

This year we've only pulled in $1,961 from about 30 sales. That's includes suspending sales in March and April due to Covid-19.

People buy anything (and I do mean anything). Figure out the fair market value, and sell it. And be patient.

I tend to agree with you. I probably have a better chance of selling pristine headrests than used and not in perfect working order DVD headrests. I appreciate the feedback!

It's quite a task emptying everything that has accumulated in every nook and cranny of a truck over 10.5 years!

Thanks!

Wow, we’re a judgy bunch.

Back on topic. Absolutely depends on your patience. Head rests aren’t necessarily a high use area for some reason on the F-150’s. If they were seat bottoms they’d sell like hot cakes. As for video head rests that work so-so? That description alone would probably have them sitting awhile. I’d let them go with the truck and try to get something out of the pristine ones. For the record though, I have a 2010 with 161K miles and my head rests look perfect.

If they were for the back seat of a SCREW, black leather and folded down I would be interested.

I would put them on Facebook, Craigslist and Kijiji after looking around and seeing what they go for and also what they list for new.
