5th- VLED reverse light license plate frame. With crappy stock reverse lights tried Cree LED but didn't get the coverage (have rear camera). For $24, the LED plate frames threw the most where I needed it.

6th- Tailgate Keyless Remote lock. Ordered a $4 actuator from ebay. Hooked it up door lock wires under rear left passenger sill. One press of the fob unlocks my doors and tailgate. Took 3hrs of research on the forum and 30 min to install.

7th. DeeZ tail gate actuator. Going strong after 2yrs, no problems with cable crimping or loosening. Can unlock tail gate using fob and open the latch to slooooowly lower the tailgate.

8th- LED bedlights- bought Recon LED light stringer on Amazon for $30 on sale. Used 3m tape to mount under bed rail and wired back to cab dome light wire. Awesome lighting in the bed to unload stuff at night.

Hope this helps anyone looking some practical ideas for the most bang for your buck

I did 6 & 7 and am interested in 8. Any good "how-to" site that you used or pics? Thanks!

Just curious in the speaker swap. Would I need a Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter per speaker or just fresh splices? I did the stuffing in the sub box while back and I am also a tad curious on the 5x7s you chose. If you could go back and get another set, would you still get these or go another route? The sony amp handles them well?

Good post, but definitely some links on "how to" would help. How (or where) did you tap in the LED strip in your bed to your dome lamp?

Also, I really like that LED plate frame, but they only have it in chrome. Would also love to see it with some red LED brake lights that just allow you to plug it into your hitch light. Kind of surprised no-one has come out with that...

this is directed to Jorgensen48
Hey man can you give me some detail as to how you process the locking mechanism for the tailgate.
I am interested in doing this to my truck as well.
What an awesome idea!!!
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
