Erasing programmed key

Default Erasing programmed key

Hello. Everyone and everywhere talks about new key programming to the vehicle but no one talks about removing them!

I have programmed a new key as one of the originals broke. I did key programming according to this procedure:
and key fob programming according to this procedure:

Now I have 3 fully working keys. Is there any procedure to remove (to unprogram / to unassign / to erase) my old broken key from my truck?

what you need to do is find someone with Ford IDS, have them ERASE all keys and then reprogram the 2 that you have now

Yes, Forscan will do it. Same process as already described using IDS.

Unless you really need to add 5 more keys, there's really no need to screw with it. It will store eight unique keys for PATS function.

Only 4 keyfobs (IKE), though. You'll hit that limitation first.
