My 06 must be "special" I can be reading 1/8 on the fuel gauge, no low fuel indicator, and my truck runs fine on a steep upgrade. Did Ford change something on the fuel pickup starting on 09 models?

Not sure, but seems to be much more of an issue with the 36gal tank.

Won't bother noting all of the reasons why it's bad and detrimental to do so, but Heysus Christe, keep the tank at least ½ full and DON'T rely on the SWAG DTE read-outs.

I agree with not relying on the low fuel level light, but if you have to keep the 36 gallon tank at least half full...what's the point of having a 36 gallon tank?

Fuel is not getting to the pickup tube. My garage has a slight angle and my gauge reads 1/8th of a tank higher than it really is when I start it in the morning. I sit nose up at night. With the angle down, you're sucking air.

Well it was just the fuel. I figured it was the issue, just weird set of circumstances. At least it was in my driveway. The pickup tube is in the back of the tank and I had the nose of the truck slanting down the hill. I don't usually run the truck lower than 1/4 tank but in this case I was trying to see gas mileage on a full tank. I should of had approximately 4-5 gallons left. When I filled up I confirmed that. My driveway must be just steep enough to uncover the pickup tube before the low fuel light comes on.

Thanks for all the advice.
