I have a 2009 F150 Lariat and the engine oil pressure light has come on. Does anyone know where the EOP sensor is at on the 09s or if there are fuses tied into that circuit that could have blown?

 

are you sure you just don't have low oil?

 

Oil is right where it needs to be on the dipstick.

 

I believe you could still have a problem. Just cause it is full does not mean all is well.....Am I wrong?

 

Seriously doubt the problem you describe is fuse-related. It could be a faulty OP sending unit or gauge problem, but I'd sure take it to the dealer to make sure your oil pump is putting out sufficient pressure. Could be a very costly oversight if you don't get quick diagnostics...

Low oil light isn't one you just mess around with, that comes on you quit driving it and fix it or go to a dealer. Likely just a faulty sensor, but it could be low pressure. Either way you have to have someone plug in with diagnostics software so they can look at it.

 

Thanks for the replies guys. I got it figured out. I did my research and found this great website http://www.motorcraftservice.com/. I was able to purchase a very cheap subscription for under $20 and was able to gain access to all of the service manuals and troubleshooting processes that the Ford techs use. After a little playing around I was able to isolate it to the wiring and then a loose connector on the RH fender liner. Plugged it back in and oil pressure was there. Thank goodness, I was fearing the worst with this one.
