No!

Use a quality oil and don't muck with the additives that it contains.

Use Motorcraft Oil and Filter and you will be good. A lot of people go til the truck tells them to change it. I'm extremely **** about my truck so I change it every 3K. I plan to keep this truck for a very long time so changing it often gives me thT extra piece of mind. And changes cost me less than $20 so it's cheap cheap insurance.

I also have a Filtermag, over kill I'm sure but it helps me sleep at night.

No need to as long as you use a quality oil and change it every 5-10k miles.

I agree, the dealer where I bought gives oil changes for 12.00, for 5 quarts so add the extra 2.7 so I like you will more than likely do them every 3-5k.

Thanks

For longevity you may also want to consider to switching to a full synthetic.

Once you go full, you have to stay full, right?
