Default Engine idling high

I have a 2014 f150 xlt with the 5.0. It only has 15K miles on it. The fan or something has been kicking on really high lately. Is this normal? Is it because of the heat outside and the ac or what?

Both. Mine does it as well, especially above 90 degrees.

Default Engine idling high

Yes when you have the AC on the cooling fan will run at a high speed to improve the AC cooling

Yup. I have a 2014 FX2 5.0 and experiencing the same thing. When I first noticed it had me worried, but it's definitely correlated with the outside temperature. So I guess being here in Texas we shall get used to it for the next few months

Doesnt mean your engine is idling high, just means your fan is running due to it being hot out.
