I got to remove the emblems this weekend off my FX4 and put on some appearance package ones that are painted to match the truck.

Hopefully they come off as easy as everyone says!

Lol. You're right. Any tool can be used wrong and have bad affects. I have used it in several of my vehicles and personally always had great results. If you take your time, and don't try to get over aggressive, it works great. Thanks for the info though. I'll make sure to be more careful next time I use it now that I've heard of it damaging paint

I used goo-gone to de-badge the dealer stickers on the tailgates on both of my trucks. No issues at all. Actually when I was doing it my neighbor came over with his new CRV and I took the dealer sticker off for home too! As long as you use goo gone with a soft cloth and gently rub off the adhesive you won't have a problem

The ones that go on drills? Yeah I've seen/done that. Mainly on non metal substrates though. But we use a different tool, still an eraser wheel, but it's all vented and such. Haven't ever damaged any paint with it. But it's unlikely that someone not working in a body shop would have one

We use these ones. There is a special tool for them.

Is the emblem on the tailgate also glued on? Not the Ford blue oval but my King Ranch one- it got hit by a piece of steel and tore up and needs replaced.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
