I need to ask you guys where else you may have found an exterior squeak?
I have one coming from what sounds like the drivers side front. It's continuous except for the smoothest part on the road which is 99% never. 2013 FX4/8000 miles.
I have sprayed all moving suspension with no luck. I've tried the fender bolts as well. One clue.. is when it rains or I wash it, it won't do it. So I know it's not deep, it gets wet from the rain, or tire spray.
I've rocked it, bounced it and nothing. Applying the brakes doesn't stop it either. Only aftermarket is the Hellwig sway bar, but it was there before I put that on.
So if there is a notorious spot or you just luckily happened upon it, any advice won't be forgotten.
It's a squeaky hamster wheel sound, that's just killing me.
Anything will be much appreciated.
John.

You sure it's coming from the front? Double check that your tailgate is completely shut. Mine will squeak really badly if it is not 100% latched on both sides. Several trucks in my area are the same way. I can hear them coming long before I see them haha.

Had a terrible squeak after cleaning my truck one day, found it to be the soft tonneau cover was pushed up and rubbing on the cab. A little tug toward the tailgate and problem solved.

Ecoboost? I have no idea if the 3.7/5.0/6.2 even have it but:

Remove the shield that goes under the transmission, it has four large course threaded twisty things. Mine squeaked like crazy. I added a dab of bearing grease on each of the tabs. Fixed "that" squeak right up.

Edit: I have also had the tailgate squeak. I had the dealer add a spray in bedliner when I got the truck. The extra material makes my tailgate very snug when it shuts. If I don't shut it with a decent push, the drivers side will catch and latch, but the passenger side of the tailgate doesn't. And it squeaks like CRAZY when it is not shut on both sides.

Appreciate it. I've done the the tailgate. I've always liked keeping every thing well lubed. I will admit I'm a little ocd when it comes to that closing nicely.
I will check the shield tho.
Ya it's definitely in the front. I've done the slow drive with my head out. If anybody saw me and the dog with our heads out the window. I'd probably get locked up.

I've heard several f150s do the same thing a few weeks ago. Mine has the same issue on the left latch. Initially the dealer "adjusted" it, brought it back a second time and they replaced the left latch. Was good for awhile and now its been squeaking again.

My tailgate closes better than my doors honestly.
Best thing they did, was switch over to the regular door striker.
I forget how nice it is to not have pull on a tailgate to open it, or slam it, to close it. Been spoiled these past 10 years.

So I spent a couple hours last night going thru all things. I found that little nuisance! I greased up my hood latch and pivot points.
What I really think it was..and you tailgate guys weren't far off, was my Undercover swing box latch. I closed it and heard it squeak. Duck taped the striker and greased the hell out of the latch.
Positively gone! I know it had to be the box, 20lb's of screw guns and a loose fitting latch had enough play that I could replicate it with my hand.
Very strange because my tonneau cover doesn't leak. So the boxes never get wet( noise disappeared when wet). Somehow, the noise got thru my cover and managed to totally trick me into coming from the left front wheel. That's messed up. Or it was my hood latch, plain and simple.
I don't care it's gone and I can relax. Do you know how annoying a constant squeak is!
You guys/girls that tried to help me. I thank you.

I have a squeek that sounds like it's coming from the back passenger seat...very annoying!
