Electronic locking diff

Yes! Lol. It's nice in very low traction situations such as snow, boat ramps, and when crossing ditches at an angle. I searched for a long time to find my 2 trucks that had it, simply because I wanted the locking rear axle. Is the limited slip bad? No, it's perfectly fine, but in my opinion you need a locker when maximum traction is needed. This is coming from a guy that used to own a 93 f150 with limited slip axles, and there were a handful of times I wish I had a locker

It is very nice. We have had a good amount of snow and I have yet to really need to put it in 4x4. I just lock the e-diff and take off and it does great.

3.55 electronic locking rear was a $470 option on my truck. Totally worth it.

I have the electronic locker and agree that it is extremely useful in tough traction conditions. It has been crucial to my getting out of a couple of situations. However, in everyday driving, including 4X4 in slippery conditions, I really liked the limited slip in my '05 better. Freeway on-ramp, accelerating on ice, 40 mph, e locker is kicked out, is very tricky on my '12 FX4. I really think my limited slip on my FX4 '05 did a better job.
