Default Edge programmer question

Has anyone with a 2010 5.4 been in contact with the Edge support to find out if they have cracked Ford's transmission code yet ?? Cmon Edge how many years does it take??

What do you mean?? I thought programers, such as: edge and SCT were able to change the shifting firmness, torque converter lock up, shift points, and other things on the 2010 transmissions. I also have a 2010 5.4 6 speed. Im looking to get a programer. Any further info on his question?

My SCT (#3015) will change the shift pressure but not the shift point like I could in my old Mustang. I've got the pressure turned all the way up in each shift, feels like I've got a shift kit in there. If I floor it, it shifts right at redline anyway, so not being able to change shift points didn't matter to me.

I have an Edge and it firms up shifts and sets tire sizes so shift point are the same. Made driving the truck much better overall. Definitely worth it.

Got mine from AutoAnything.com (forum vendor).

I was Quoted by the edge Technical support that the Edge CT or CTS will not have the capability to change shift points or torque converter lockup points after 2008. Due to the fact that Ford changed their transmission codes after that year and Edge has not yet "cracked" the code.

from 2008 and earlier, you had the capability to change shift points and torque converter lock up points. This is detrimental if you're looking for MPG

if i am not mistaken i think you are referring to transmission tuning like spartan and h&s offer in the diesel worlds, or like the company MHP offers. it increases line pressure to prevent the tranny from slipping. thats why a spartan tuned 6.4 can add 275+ HP and like 400LBFT tq and not fry the tranny. i dont know if edge will offer this or not.
