Default Ecoological Gap Shield

Hey guys. Found a pretty cool product and actually put it to use the other day and it worked well, thought I would pass it along to you all.

This truck has actually been getting a work out as my wife and I are doing quite a bit of remodeling to our home. Always been annoyed by debris falling in the gap between the bed and tailgate. Even more so with this truck versus my old as removing the tailgate is a PIA with the back up camera harness.

Found this product:
http://www.ecoological.com/

Had a chance to test it out with a dogwood tree I cut down the other day. Dead and brittle there were little pieces of tree all over my bed, perfect test. The gap shield worked well, no fishing pieces of tree out of the gap, just swept out the bed and go.

I wrote an initial thread with my thoughts and the install here:

The shield is holding up just fine and showing no signs of peeling with my Line-X w/ UV top coat. Def. a nice addition to my truck, going to pick one up for my dad for Christmas for sure.

Here are a few pics of it in action:

I know right? Super easy concept.

Best part about this, other than it working as advertised?

I have had one installed for several months now. No problems so far. Do you tuck yours in the gap when not in use? I do because my son plays hockey and is always sliding his huge bag into the bed and I don't want him to rip it off. The manufacturer suggested to tuck it when not in use.

Awesome company and great people to work with and lightning fast shipping.

No, I have left it just fold up, no issues yet, but im not constantly sliding things over it like you are, so it makes sense to do what you are doing I could see one of those huge hockey bags causing an issue.

The company is awesome. Shipped it here to VA from CA in just a couple days, very nice to deal with.

Does it also serve to keep dust out of the bed?

I have found that to be the case for me. I do have a cap on my truck and recently did some driving on some dirt roads picking pumpkins with the family. No dust or dirt in the bed, but, most of it was low speed.

I have a trip coming up next month to my camp in which there will be A LOT of off road/dirt road driving and I will have a more accurate assessment of that.
