Just wondering has anyone put 33 inch nitto mud grapplers on their truck that has the ecoboost? I'm thinking about doing this and wanted to know what gas mileage I would get with those tires

 

Your gas milage will go down by probably 3-5 mpgs. Thats what I noticed on my last truck, i'm assuming the eco would be about the same.

 

Okay what if I did stock size tires with the muds or nitto trail grapplers with stock or 33? I'm guess any 33 will drop mileage a lot

 

I put 33 inch M/T baja atz on mine ,same size rim but wider tire and lost 2 mpg.

 

Okay an I looked at pro comp anyone have those

 

What does the motor have to do with how the tires look on the truck???

 

If your going to an aggressive tread, your going to loose in the end, the tires in general weight alot more and because of the tread design it doesnt roll smooth on the road, therefore the truck has to use more power to keep your current desired speed. The most fuel efficient tires have a very closed tread pattern and not alot of siping, and are made of well engineered tread compounds, If you need a mud tire, buy what you want, you can't get fuel efficiency with tire like that.

 

I lost 3mpg with 33 inch trail grapplers on my eco.

 

Nothing about look I was trying to see if there would be less lose of mpg than the 5.0
