Default Ecoboost mpg curve

Has anyone ever monitored their mpg on a empty road at different speeds to see their peak mpg, like at 30, 40 ,50+ etc etc?

I seem to get my best mpg at around 70kmph, which I think is pretty low.

About 45-50 mph for me. Pretty normal since air resistance gets much higher as speeds increase. Not linearly. Cubed if I remember right. I get 25 at 50 sustained and 22 at 60. 70 is closer to 20. 80 is 17 mpg.

I'm right there with you packplantpath. It's hard to drive 60 though.

Figures. Mine is 3.31, so I do slightly better. You are running 200 or so higher rpm at the same speed.

If you're truly interested in MPG, both the lift and bigger tires are not conducive to good mpg.

oh I know, but I know I'll do it at one point, the purpose of my truck had changed from a working towing truck to a light duty daily driver in the last year. Shame to let those 3.73 go to waste
