Ecoboost + Max Tow + 3.73 Gears = ??MPG

I have a 2013 Eco, Max Tow, 373 gear, large mirrors, 3500 miles. In town 13 plus driving easy, no load, use cruise when ever possible. Highway 16 plus, driving 70 - 75 with cruise, no load. Pulling 6000 lb camping trailer about 8 to 9MPG at 65 to 70 MPH. I live in Florida, so there are no hills to consider. Has been the same since it was new. Hopefully the mileage will get better, but it is still better than my old Silverado and when pulling my camper I don't even know it is back there. Love the power loaded or empty. Fun to drive because of the power.

Hi all, new owner here so bare with me.
For those with an EcoBoost and the Max-tow package, what are some of your average MPG's? I assume the gigantic side mirrors that come with the max-tow must introduce additional drag on aerodynamics, combine that with the taller (numerically) gear ratio (3.73 in my case), and one should expect the max-tow package to tip in with a lower MPG then non-Max tow rigs. But thus far my fuel economy has yet to break out of the 13MPG range [empty] for combined driving. I'm not here complaining, just looking for feedback from others with Max tow. I continue to remain optimistic that my fuel economy will improve over time with more hours logged and a lager data set to sample from.

Good point. Of course at this point everything must have been discussed already so why don't we just shut the forum down?

I got a 13 maxtow KR 6.5 bed, when my mileage hit 3k my fuel econ just got better, I thought I was stuck at 13-14 and now it averages 16-17 casual driving and 18-19 highway, not the 20+ like many post but considering the extra weight/gears i'll take mine. I am approaching 11k on mine. Love the 3.73's and wouldn't give it up for a few mpg's. I bought truck for towing not cruising.

Absolutely, that is why they created a SEARCH feature, or simply just looking through the countless MPG threads to find an answer in a matter of mere minutes. If you want to discuss something, perhaps discuss something that hasn't been decimated into the ground with enough post to give a reader material for a space trip to Mars and BACK worth of the same question.

Kept up with my mileage from Little Rock AR to Enid OK & back. Same payload of approx 1000lbs cargo & passengers each way. On the way up there I ran 93 octane E10 and got 16.5mpg. On the way back I ran 91 octane no ethanol gasoline & got 17.9mpg. On the way up I ran mostly 5mph under the speed limit & on the way back I ran mostly at the speed limit. Price difference on the E10 to E0 was 0.44 a gallon cheaper for E10. By my calculations it cost me $3.48 more for the 379 miles with E0 than E10. Of course if I had gone the same speeds over that distance it may have cost less.

Towing my 7x 16 double axle race trailer (9" tall) I get about 8 at 70 - 75.
