Default Ecoboost Eats A Turbo 800 miles

I just got back from the dealership and it seems my New Ford Lariat Ecoboost has destroyed one of the turbos. They said they have to keep it a week to run test.

This was the first one they had in the shop for something other than oil changes.

Good thing I have my old chevy still

That sucks! The dealer I bought mine from said they saw one come back with a pinched oil line to one of the turbos. Knock on wood 1200 miles ( bought it monday ) and nothing yet.

With the quantity of new EB leaving dealerships every month it is just normal to have few failure

Good luck and hopefully your dealer will fix your issue quickly

Yeah , what sucks is I was about to go on a trip with it on the 4th. I now have to drive a truck that is 10 years old with questionable brakes.

Timing is always bad when things like this happen.

Don't go too fast with the Chevy with questionable brakes ;-)

Cheers

I would demand a good loaner car to use in the meantime.

Compared to a Ford Chevy's of that vintage had questionable brakes anyway.

Dont get too smug, have you ever seen what an F150 of that vintage looked like after a frontal test crash? Dont worry I'll tell you: the rear seats of the crew cab almost exited the windshield and the dummy was left hanging out the front door after being crushed in between
Damn those government regulators for making our trucks safe to drive
