L-O-V-E my '13 EcoBoost ! Had it a year now, almost 14k on her.
She has 16.0 lifetime mpg, that includes off roading and at least 60% in town driving. I can see 24mpg at about 62mph easy (unloaded, of course).
Pulling a 12,000lb Bobcat trailer was amazingly easy. But I really like showing up those rice-rocket squids
In conclusion, I just gotta ask: WHO FREAKIN BUYS A TRUCK FOR GAS MILEAGE ANYWAY ?????????????????????

I'm on my second EcoBoost F-150 both have been great.I had a 2011 F-150 Supercab 4X4 with 3.55 gears and now have a 2013 F-150 Supercab 4X4 with 3.31 gears.I have to say the mileage has been pretty close on both the 2011 i put over 16,000 miles on it and the average MPG was 16.9.The 2013 i have now i have put over 10,000 miles on it and the average MPG is 17.1 I have also raced them both and performance wise they are also pretty close, the 2011 ran a 14.68 at 93.45 mph and the 2013 has ran a 14.74 at 92.09 mph.In the cold the average mileage was around 15 mpg now that it's warmed up 16.5 to 17.5 mpg.I have seen 23.5 mpg at 60-65 mph.For those of you that claim they don't get advertised mpg read the fine print city could range from 12-18 mpg and highway could range from 17-25 mpg.

I had a 2011 XLT, 5.0. It sounded better, and got more consistent economy, but that's it.
My 5.0 consumed more than reasonable amounts of oil in my opinion for a new truck. Imagine having a brand new truck, and explaining to friends and passengers why you carry a spare qt of motor oil in the door card.
Also my 5.0 had a really bad knock at idle and cold start, I never got a straight answer for or sorted out with my dealer. Some people say the knock & tick is normal, others complain to their dealer and get new motors.
I didn't want to take a chance with the high oil consumption concern, or the engine knock & tick, so I traded it for a '13 FX4, EcoBoost and haven't looked back. Secretly I wanted an EcoBoost all along. My other fun car was a '13 Subaru WRX, so my preference is boost over displacement or extra cylinders.
Love my EcoBoost. Instant, on demand torque, when compared to my old truck with the 5.0. The 5.0 is stout, but it must be revved to get the power you get from the EcoBoost. At times I find the turbo lag on my EcoBoost annoying, but once the boost come online, the power just keeps building.
My mileage isn't great, and at times it feel a tad bit below expected for a somewhat small for a truck 3.5 V6. However I have a 157", Max Tow, with 3.73 gears. Probably the heaviest package and version of the '09+ F-150, so go figure.
Otherwise I LOVE my EcoBoost, would buy again and again. In fact I don't think I could own another normally aspirated gas engine in a truck ever again. I like this motor that much.

Just turned 6700 miles, not my daily driver. I've gone the last 2 tanks without resetting the trip meter. I'm averaging 15.3 mpg with 3.73 gears and the max Tow. 70-75 mph. I love the damn power from start to whatever speed and since I bought a truck I live with 15 mpg. Will be towing a 20 or 24 ft trailor full of household goods back to Indy later this year, then we'll really see.
