Default ecoboost or 5L

close to buying a 2014 XTR or FX4. I'm looking at the 5L but thought I would see what you guys thought would be the better choice. I'm not pulling anything but that doesn't mean I won't be in the future. Highly unlikely but you never know. Is the Ecoboost that much fun or should I just get the 5L? I like to step on it a bit and play with other trucks but I think the 5L would hold up just fine.

Thoughts?

oh yeah. Traded my 2012 5.0 for a 13 Ecoboost and absolutely LOVE it for the past year with no problems. The V8 can definitely move, but the eco gives me the performance of a sports car with the size and capability of a beast of a truck. Both great motors and you can't go wrong with either. A LOT of happy ecoboost owners on the road.

I don't have a dog in this fight! I'm outclassed by the new motors. However, that never stops me from reading these and enjoying the quality entertainment that is sure to come.

I'd wait for the 15 and save 700 lbs. Truck should really smoke then with the eco.

Easiest way to decide is to test drive both in similarly equipped trucks and decide for yourself.

I'm biased to the 5.0 because its 1.42857142857 times bigger than the Ecoboost.

Flippin a coin is a pretty easy way to decide, two different beasts, one awesome truck.
Can't go wrong either way
Either way you will feel like Cinderella going to the ball
