Default ECM Tire Size Change Help!

Hey everybody,
I swapped from my 275 55 20 Pirellies to a set of 285 65 20 BFG All Terrains. I was wanting to reset my ECM so my Speedometer and Odometer would be correct. My dealer told me they couldn't, so how can I? I don't care to buy a full tuner just to change the dash. Is there any other options? Thanks

Default Well....actually.....

....Yes, there is.....

Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator.....right around $200.

Allows reset to the new diameter of your larger tires.

Also, the instructions tell you how to measure the correct "rolling diameter" of your tires.

My Bridgestone LT275/65-20 tires spec out (unmounted) at 34.1".

Once mounted, with weight on them, the true "rolling diameter" is closer to 33.25".

The Hypertech unit lets you put in diameters in 1/4" increments.

I believe the Hypertech unit can also be upgraded in the future with tunes.

Good luck!

I also had to get the hypertech calibrator. Dealer tried but couldn't do it. Speedo is now dead on with GPS.

I've been to two dealers, one said it was impossible to change tire size and the other told me you could only do it to a Ford Factory size.
