You misread what he said. What he meant was Regular gas can be E10 But regular gas can also have no ethanol (100% gasoline).

Regardless of what he wrote that’s what he meant. It’s not that hard to understand.

My mistake for not being a mind reader and hats off to you for accomplishing that ability.

That may have been what you read, but it's not what I posted.

What I posted:
Regular gas can be E10, but it doesn't necessarily have any ethanol at all in it.

The "it" in my statement referred to "regular gas," not E10. Maybe I should've specified "regular gas" instead of using the pronoun, but reading it as "Regular gas can be E10, but E10 doesn't necessarily have any ethanol at all in it." doesn't make any sense, so I didn't figure anybody would read it that way.

At any rate, around here, "regular gas" is 87 octane unleaded, regardless of ethanol content.

No one knows what's going on inside your mind except you and apparently your friend of 10+ years. Don't use the (E) designation when you're talking about non ethanol fuel. It really is that simple.

I wasn't using it the refer to non-ethanol fuel. You were just reading it that way. It really is that simple.

Don’t blame us for your lack of reading comprehension. He never said E10 may or may not have ethanol. He said regular gas may or may not have ethanol.

It's in black and white what he said, I'm done with this subject.
