Question Dual Purpose Thread: Leveling Question and pic request

First off, don't know too much about leveling trucks, so my question is:
What do the rear blocks do? Do they lift the rear of the truck? If so, it would seem to negate the front leveling. I figure I'm just misunderstanding somehow though. I'm not looking for additional clearance, just looking to have the level appearance.

Also pic request:

Does anyone have pics of the HD heads or tails on an Ignot silver truck. I think it would look sharp but just want to see it before I place an order. I'm also interested in possibly doing some mudflap/splashguards and if you have any pictures of these installed, I would also appreciate it.

Thanks guys.

Question one : Leveling
The leveling kits do just that. They will normally only come with components for the front. On this generation of F150's everyone is using a 1.5 or 2 inch leveling spacer. Both will get you About level front to rear. (if you do not carry anything in the bed, Spray in bed liner, Tools, Gear, etc. ) This is front to back either kit may be 1/4 inch off one way or another but you can not really tell unless you get a tape out.
Question two? : Rear Blocks.
Many want the level stance (ie front higher than stock) but still have the need to tow, or as stated above have extra weight in the bed of the truck. This is were the rear block comes in. The truck comes stock with I believe a 1.5 inch block in the rear. Many change this to a 3 inch block to gain the tail just a little higher look.
Basically if you level out the front and do nothing to the rear have under heavy weight or heavy towing your front will be alot higher than your rear. (due to weight making the tail end sag.
I did not want to add any height to the rear of the truck so with the hell bent steel 2 inch leveler I installed airlift ride control bags. ($170.00 plus $25.00 mail in rebate right now) Therefore Im level but when I tow my trailer or camper I air the bags up to help the sagging and keep my truck level.
Hope this does not confuse you.

Good information Jarrett. How do airbags effect the ride when pulling a trailer? Does the suspension get stiffer in the rear or do the airbags allow for suspension travel? I want to level my truck but dont really want to put bigger blocks in the rear. I tow a large boat quite often so I was thinking airbags would be a great option.

i really love the air bags. You can make it as rock solid as you want. I prefer to just take a lillte bit of the sag out. I keep mine at 10 psi all the time. The rear is a lil tighter than normal but my truck only has the two large leafs and the one short leaf on the bottom. Mine was pretty soft before the bags. It now feels more like a typical offroad suspension. The bags will flex under the load as well. You won;t be in a old horse buggy or anything. The rebate last until the end of the month its through Airlift themselves. You can buy them anywhere online and use the rebate. I bargained between two websites and got them to beat each others price. I ended up with autoanything.com for 170 and free shipping. Also very easy install no drilling.
