Default Driving light switch location

I have a new set of led lights that i am going to mount behind the grill on my 2012 xlt. This isn't my first set of lights to install, but i am having trouble on finding a good spot to mount the rocker switch. I want somewhere easy to reach, yet kind of out of the way from the driver's position. Anybody have any pictures of where your switches are? Thanks.

I don't have any photos but I put two 3/4" round lit (blue LED) rockers in my dash. I popped off the small panel that has the dimmer and headlight switch in it. Behind it there are two plastic tabs that I cut off and used as the center points for the holes I drilled. As well, once the panel is off, there are two depressions in the dash structure that I drilled out as well. They are depressed enough that when you go to drill them out your bit will self center. The switches are well within reach while driving and are pretty much hidden behind the steering wheel so they are not distracting at night.

Grab the panel and pull it off and have a quick look. Very easy to come off an push back on.

I like the old style floor mount switches.

I just mounted a rigid 20" bar behind my grill this week. I ziptied mine next to the OBD-II port under the steering wheel. It's easy access and I didn't have to cut into anything. It's surprisingly stable as well.

That's my problem, drilling an interior panel of a new $45k truck. I like the zip tie idea to start off with. Thx.

You lose the cig lighter but the install looks clean and no drilling holes in your interior.

I drilled a hole in the interior lights dimmer panel. It was the panel that I thought would be the cheapest to replace. I'll add a pic shortly.

Question would the aux switch panel from a raptor fit in place of the little storage compartment in front of the shifter? I'm looking for a place for my switch for the rigids. From pictures it looks like it would fit just wondering if anybody tried this yet. I like the clean factory look and think this would look awesome
