You would have to take the driver/passenger seat off. Look under the seat or behind the seat back and you can tell how to disassemble. Its fairly easy.

The best info I have found about this problem so far. Do you know of any videos that demonstrate this fix? I am a visual learner?

I have a 2010 F-150 lariat with the same symptoms as original post. I followed abanks instructions on thread #57 on how to access the TED device last weekend. Only I did not order a new device, I switched the functioning TED device on my passenger side with the malfunctioning TED device on the drivers side. I found the boot between the fan and the heating element had detached, so I reattached with electrical tape and it seemed to blow fine with the exception of no hot air, only cool air. So I put it back together and re-installed on the passenger side. Now I have the same symptoms in reverse (passenger side cools but does not heat). The bright side is my buns are now toastie again! I now know for sure what part needs to be replaced on the passenger side (when i get around to it). Thanks for the info!
PS this as not a 20 minute job! It took me most of last Sunday afternoon to get both of these seats detached and blower motors switched. But then again I am far from a master mechanic!
