picture is clear, 22 pin connector looks like. I'm trying to find it.
I'm not finding that connector, not sure what I'm missing. Is it in fact a 22 pin connector? I took a quick look (with cover on) at my ground lug and all those wires are insulated. You may have a burnt wire, but I'm not sure.

Yes it is a 22 pin connector. It has a green violet wire in it but there’s no power to that wire on either side.

I still haven't identified the 22 pin plug at the left hand kick panel. I looked at all of the ground location prints and I can say all the ground wires are insulated. They are black with a colored stripe that changes depending on the location of the ground lug and section of truck. I would check pin 9 (green violet wire) at the BCM plug to ground. Also check it to the bare wire at the 22 pin plug in the left side kick panel area. I think that bare wire is bad and has shorted in the harness. The test will help.

So some digging and I think the burnt wire in C210 pin #8 DMP 19 (*) , not sure what that is. It does not go to the ENS module that I see. It does go/come from the engine compartment. C1581 pin#33 DMP-19 black. I would look at the back side of that connector and inspect the wire. Also I see many yellow wires that pertain to air bags stuff. ENS module being one of them. I have heard of people accidently setting off the air bags. I would disconnect the battery terminals (both) and then jump the the two together for a minute to drain the storage voltage. It will upset a few things later but nothing serious . i have had done it many time with the stereo. Again just info for you as learning. Good Luck

I'm not sure about doing that , did you test the wire end to end like the above procedure? My worry is if there some type of resistor in that wire and you ground out the BCM terminal and it draws too much current and smokes the micro switch. Most likely not but you might have to ask around.

End to end wire testing is on deck to be done this coming weekend, hopefully. Definitely feel like there’s a wiring problem between the bcm and the door still.

On utube themowermedic1 trouble shoots the door ajar issue. He is grounding the power wire with his power probe with no problems.

I saw that video too, more testing this weekend. I also ordered 20ft of green with purple stripe wire to test a harness bypass. The door ajar is the only thing not working and I’m not pulling the dash to find it. Maybe one day.
