Thanks , did some poking around today and decided to order the door harness. Looks like a previous owner had made repairs to the existing harness on other wires so for 85 bucks I might as well try the new door harness and find out if that fixes it.

Replaced the harness and the problem persists , truck still thinks the LF door is open. Will continue looking at wiring inside the cab between the door connector and the bcm, hopefully I don’t need a new bcm.

Confirming you no longer saw the issue when you disconnected the door harness at, which part of the door?

I was incorrect about that. Behavior is the same whether it is plugged in or not. I’m not getting any power on the green violet wire and I’m not sure why, yet. I’m sure if I can get that wire to show 12 V that will fix this issue.

Here is the procedure to test that wire form the door plug to the BCM.

Thank you. I have 12v on the green violet wire coming out of the bcm I confirmed tonight. It’s just not making it over to left side. Will continue to trace tomorrow.

Am guessing this wire shouldn’t be bare? Lf kick panel near emergency brake assembly. It probes out as a ground.
